The modern high speed automatic winding machine also requires the smooth surface of enameled wire and small friction coefficient, while the special purpose of enameled wire is required to have a large friction coefficient.

When the motor runs, the windings are subjected to shock, vibration, centrifugal force, thermal expansion, and the stress caused by overloading, which requires a certain tensile strength of the enameled wire.
